Crystalline is Blind Dates’ first single, an indie rock piece that draws comparisons to The Jezabels and Matt Corby. Engineer and producer Daniel Natoli (Valko—Of Sound Mind) helped shape the airy, open sound that came from tracking in an old school hall built out of sandstone.

What a lightning holiday
Here’s a photo of last night
Drunk boys, MDMA
Your shirt is open
Faces flushed with pink
A button’s broken

We’re crystalline
We spoke to the night
Saw distant stars
A million lights
Spin around in my mind
Spin around in my mind

You can mix osmanthus
With rubber cement
It’s a strong reaction
It’s an early warning
There’s a sensitive machine
For mistakes it lights up

One more drink and then we're done
One more hour and we're done for the night

Blind Dates Sydney, Australia

Blind Dates was formed late one April night in 2014 for an entry to the Sydney Uni band comp - of which we made it to the final :-D
The single, 'Crystalline', was recorded in early 2015. Around then our lineup went from six to three in just a few days. We are currently developing a live show that builds upon the space and energy of the record.
